Research shows that overwork and the lack of work-life balance is not good for employees as well as their companies. More than three-quarters of workers report they have experienced burnout at least once in their current jobs (51% experienced burnout more than once). Almost three in 10 workers say they often dread going to work or starting their workday and 83% say their personal relationships are negatively impacted by burnout from work. And while much has been written about hybrid work and remote work improving work-life balance, the same research study found that fewer workers feel they can effectively balance work and personal commitments now than before the pandemic.
